Major Talking Points From Our Community Call 2

In case you missed our AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, here are the details of our conversations:

First, a sincere apology

We have now been able to move all of our customers from the old Quidax app to the new one. That process hasn’t been really smooth due to a few issues that have led to your frustrations. We at Quidax also use the app daily, so we have a first-hand experience of your headaches. 

At a time when Bitcoin is reaching new all-time highs and the market is really volatile, you need a platform that offers you very easy access to the market. We have failed in that respect, and we want to sincerely apologise. 

Our progress since the last AMA

You highlighted a couple of issues during our last community call — some which we were aware of, and others that were new. The good news is that we’ve made decent progress between then and now. Some things we’ve improved include: 

  • Restricted access to the Quidax app in regions outside Africa (like the US) has now been fixed with Apple. 
  • Sign-in issues with Captcha have been resolved. You can now sign in to the new Quidax app and web easily. 
  • Issues related to some customers not seeing their balances or wallets have been resolved. 
  • KYC and identity verification issues have now been resolved — whether you’re a new or existing customer. 
  • Withdrawal issues have also been addressed. So, your experience when getting funds out of the app should be much better now. 

What we’re currently working to fix

While a number of initial issues have been resolved over the past week, we know some more fixes are still needed. Here are some of the things we’re working hard to fully resolve in the coming days:

  • Password reset issues 
  • Crypto withdrawal challenges 
  • Sign-ups (which are currently disabled)
  • Other minor feature issues 

New features to look forward to in the new app

Our current goal is to stablise the app. Once that’s done, we’ll be introducing a couple of new features to take your crypto trading experience to the next level. Some of the upcoming features include: 

  • Internal transfers 
  • More deposit and withdrawal options
  • More order types like “Take Profit” and “Stop Loss” on the order book 
  • Up-to-date live charts (like TradingView)
  • Peer-to-peer (P2P) trading 
  • Futures trading 
  • And more exciting features…

What steps are being taken to resolve the Captcha issue on the app?

The Captcha issue has now been worked on and fixed. However, if you still experience a Captcha error when signing in, reach out to us for help at [email protected]

How soon will customers gain full access to their accounts?

As of this moment, every customer should be able to access their accounts. If you’re still unable to, please reach out to support so we can get on it.

Is there an emergency fall-back option for users to get access to their accounts without authentication 

At Quidax, we place the security of your data and funds at the top of our priorities. Right now, we don’t see the need for an emergency access since the identity verification issues have been fixed. If you’re still experiencing issues related to this, reach out to us for help at [email protected].
