Why a new Quidax App?
This new Quidax experience is our biggest update yet.
It is the first step towards giving you all the features you asked for. It is also the beginning of more features to come. We created it for where your crypto journey is going, not just where you are now.
This new app allows us to add all the features you have been asking that weren’t able to add in the old app;
- Futures Trading
- Margin Trading
- Loan
- Earn: We are starting with USDT and will add more cryptos you can earn on.
Except for Earn, the features above won’t go live on Monday, July 7. We will be adding them in the coming weeks and months.
The new Quidax experience will start rolling out from Monday, July 7. But we know every upgrade comes with a few questions, so scroll through the FAQs below to get fully prepared for what’s ahead. Because we are leaving no one behind in this upgrade
Why are we upgrading to a new Quidax mobile and web app?
We listened to your feedback, reimagined our platform, and created an experience that puts you first. The new Quidax is a new app experience, built to make your crypto journey smoother, faster, and more rewarding. We want to keep seeing you win and Quidax 3.0 is the foundation for everything your trading and money goals can grow into.
What’s New in Quidax 3.0?
- Instant Swap
Trading with Instant Swap has been upgraded so you can swap assets in seconds with smoother performance - Order Book (Spot Trading)
Our spot trading (Order Book) will be faster and more reliable, giving you more control over how you trade. - Earn (formerly USD Savings)
- USD Savings is now Earn.
- All USD balances will be converted to USDT at 1:1 based on market rates.
- If you have at least 5 USDT in your wallet, you’ll earn 10% annual interest.
- Withdrawals to Domiciliary accounts are paused.
- If you have different USD Savings plans (for rent, trips, gifts, etc), you will need to write down how much you have saved in each plan. Everything will move into one USDT wallet, so this helps you remember what each part was for.
- Fiat Deposits & Withdrawals will be faster, secure, and more reliable.
Now, to other common questions:
When will I get access to the new Quidax App?
We’re rolling out the new app in groups, starting from July 7. That means Quidaxians will get access to it on different days. We will let you know which day you fall via email.
Important notice: If you’re being migrated, you won’t be able to access the old Quidax app or web between 9PM on migration day and 6AM the following day. So, if you’re getting migrated today, you won’t have access to Quidax between 9PM today and 6AM tomorrow.
Can I still deposit and withdraw Naira?
Yes, you can add funds to your wallet or withdraw using naira on the new Quidax app.
How fast will Naira withdrawals be?
Your Naira deposits and withdrawals will be processed instantly. You can expect funds in a few seconds.
Upgraded KYC Process With BVN
We will be upgrading security with a new KYC process that includes your Bank Verification Number (BVN). If your account doesn’t have a BVN yet, you’ll need to add it before you can withdraw. This is to make sure that nobody touches your assets except you.
Why Does Quidax Need My BVN?
To make your account even more secure, we’ve introduced BVN verification. You’ll need to add your BVN before you can make any withdrawals. But, more features will also be dropping after launch.
What Features Won’t Be Available at Launch?
Internal Transfers will not be available during this first release. Referral bonus and Pocket App deposits and withdrawals will also be unavailable. But don’t worry, they are coming back soon.
What’s Happening to Quidax Usernames?
Your current username will be migrated with your account. That means your cherished QUsername is still yours.
What Else is Changing About QUsernames?
While you’ll have the same username, you won’t be able to use it to send or receive funds, referrals, and customer support searches.
What’s happening to referral?
The Referral Program and rewards for referrals will be paused. But you can still invite your friends to Quidax without the referral bonus (for now).
Is there going to be a referral program later?
For the new Quidax app, we are introducing an Affiliate Program with juicier rewards. Stay tuned, you’ll love what’s coming.
What is “Earn”?
“Earn” is our new feature. We’re saying goodbye to the old “USD Savings “ and introducing up to 10% interest on USDT per year.
What happens to my current USD Savings if there’s a new feature called Earn?
- Your USD balance will be converted to USDT on a 1:1 basis at launch.
- You’ll earn 10% interest per annum if you hold at least 5 USDT.
- Your previous savings plans will be combined into one. So if you have multiple goals (e.g., rent, gifting, travel), we recommend writing them down to track your progress post-migration.
- You won’t be able to withdraw to Dom accounts.
Will I be able to earn on other cryptos?
For now, the only crypto supported for Earn is USDT. That means you won’t receive an interest for holding other cryptocurrencies at this time.
Will I be able to see my transaction history?
Yes, you’ll be able to view your transaction history as soon as you log into the new Quidax app. The full history will be added within two weeks post-launch.
What is the duration of the transaction history?
Your transaction history is limited to 6 months. That means you can view all your transactions over the last 6 months from the time of checking.
What happens to my crypto balances and wallet addresses?
Your balances, wallet addresses, and past progress remain intact. Nothing’s getting lost in transit.
Do I need to create a new wallet to receive crypto?
No, all your existing wallets will be maintained in the new app. Nothing is changing at that end.
What’s changing with QDX?
The Quidax token (QDX) remains our exchange token, but QDX Staking is paused for now.
What can I do with QDX after the launch?
QDX is now listed on MEXC and Weex. So, you can trade QDX or join the QDX raffle and trading competitions.
What about my open orders?
All open orders will be closed automatically during the migration. You’ll need to recreate them manually after the launch.
What happens to my locked funds?
Any locked funds from previously open orders will be released back into your wallet.
What if I need help during the migration?
We are always ready to help you and we’ll be by your side throughout the process. You can reach us through the in-app live chat, email, or social media DMs. We’re here to make sure everything is seamless for you.
Is there a bonus for new sign-ups?
No, the sign-up bonus has been paused effective June 30, 2025.
What happens to my unclaimed sign-up bonus?
Any unclaimed bonus will be cancelled after Sunday, July 6, 2025. Ensure you claim your bonus before this date.
