We launched the Quidax token (QDX) in 2021 to power our ecosystem. Since then, it has been operating on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC).
QDX is now set to upgrade its smart contract on BSC and create a new one on the Ethereum network. That means the new QDX token will be:
- Available for trading on both networks (BSC and ETH) and also on Quidax
- Tradeable on decentralised exchanges (DEXs) like PancakeSwap and UniSwap
- Giving QDX holders more control over their coins
The upgrade will also allow QDX to bridge to other networks in the future, as part of our long-term development goals for the token.
We’ve scheduled the QDX upgrade for July 26, 2024, at 12:00 AM (WAT). These are what to expect as a QDX token holder:
- Quidax will disable the deposit and withdrawal of the old QDX token on July 26, 2024, at 12:00 AM (WAT). If you want to deposit or trade QDX after the said date, you must hold the new token.
- Quidax will take snapshots of all QDX holdings on July 26, 2024, at 12:00 AM (WAT).
- Holders of the old QDX token with less than 100 units should send their coins to the Quidax Exchange to get the new tokens at a 1:1 ratio. This must be done on or before July 26, 2024, at 12:00 AM (WAT).
- Quidax will airdrop new QDX tokens to all QDX holders with 100 units or more at a 1:1 ratio on July 26, 2024.
- QDX holders who fail to transfer their tokens on July 26, 2024, at 12:00 AM (WAT) should contact support on how to retrieve their coins.

My QDX is on Quidax. What Should I do?
If you have more than 100 QDX tokens on the Quidax Exchange, don’t send them out until the upgrade is over. Just sit back and relax to get new ones airdropped to you in a 1:1 ratio.
My QDX is on TrustWallet or MetaMask. How Does this Affect Me?
If you use TrustWallet, MetaMask or any other Non custodial wallet, here’s what you need to do.
You Have More Than 100 QDX
If you have more than 100 QDX tokens on TrustWallet, MetaMask, or other non-custodial wallets:
- Add the new QDX contract address on BSC or ETH to the wallet
- You’ll get your token airdropped in a one 1:1 ratio
You Have Less Than 100 QDX
If you have less than 100 QDX tokens on TrustWallet, MetaMask, or other non-custodial wallets, follow the steps below:
- Create a Quidax account if you don’t have one
- Transfer your coins to the QDX wallet on Quidax before Friday, July 26, 2024
- Wait for the upgrade to be completed and the tokens will be in your wallet
Other Things to Note
1. Quidax will resume deposit and withdrawals for QDX as soon as the smart contract upgrade is completed. An announcement will be made for this subsequently.
2. The QDX airdrop and exchange will be in the 1:1 ratio.
