We held another engaging Ask Me Anything (AMA) session during our community call on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
During the call, we discussed the progress and future of our new app, among other things. Here’s a recap of the major talking points:
We’ve come a long way
It’s been an incredible journey since we launched the new Quidax app, and your feedback has been instrumental every step of the way. We understand there have been challenges, and we are sorry for these hiccups.
The best part is that we’ve made significant improvements and we are bringing exciting features your way over the coming weeks and months.
But you also asked us various questions and here’s a summary of the key questions and answers from the session:
Why did Quidax decide to launch a new app in the first place?
The new app was launched based on numerous feedback from you, our customers. Our previous app had limitations that prevented us from adding highly requested features like P2P (peer-to-peer) trading, Earn, and futures trading. The new platform enables us to introduce these and many more services, driven purely by your needs for your crypto journey.
How has the app’s stability improved since the initial launch?
We’ve made considerable progress. While the initial experience wasn’t the best, the platform is now significantly more stable. You should experience smoother transactions and fewer errors. We’ve seen a notable reduction in customer complaints, a testament to the hard work put in by our team and the valuable feedback you’ve provided.
What specific improvements have been made recently?
We’ve rolled out several key improvements:
- Enhanced platform stability for a generally smoother experience.
- Updated the wallets page to display more transaction history, including deposit and withdrawal history and other smaller transactions.
- Improved the withdrawal process for both crypto and Naira (NGN), making them faster and more reliable.
- Optimised the timeline for frozen transactions to 24 hours.
What exciting new features can we expect soon?
We have a packed plan of new features for the coming weeks and months:
- Internal Transfers: Coming later this month (August).
- TradingView Charts: We’re updating to the very latest version, expected this month (August).
- P2P Trading: Launching next month. We’ll share details on how to become a verified merchant once it’s live.
- Earn Feature (Savings): This highly anticipated feature will allow you to create new savings plans and convert Naira to USDT. It’s going live between late August and early September. If you had an active savings plan on the old app, rest assured, it’s still active and earning interest!
- Futures Option: This is in the works, and we’ll communicate timelines soon.
- Pocket App Integration: We’re working to reintroduce this as a deposit and withdrawal method next quarter. In the meantime, you can add your Pocket App account details as a direct bank transfer option.
- Virtual Cards: This is a project planned for next year.
- UX Improvements: More enhancements across the app (web and mobile) are coming between this month and next.
Will Quidax offer “Learn & Earn” sections or crypto news within the app?
We will look into adding a “Learn & Earn” feature in the future. For crypto news, while we work on bringing an in-app solution, you can stay updated via our WhatsApp channel and weekly newsletters.
Is Quidax regulated?
Yes, Quidax is licensed by the Security Exchange Commission (SEC) in Nigeria, ensuring regulatory oversight for our activities.
