Wednesday (July 23, 2025) was yet another time to provide updates on our new app. The AMA (Ask Me Anything) session was led by our CEO, Buchi Okoro, who spoke extensively about the experience so far and what we’ve been doing behind the scenes.

We can’t apologise enough 🙏
Our CEO, Buchi Okoro, opened the conversations with a sincere apology for the few issues customers are still facing with the app — the most recent one being the login issue earlier this week.
“I am a Quidax customer first before the CEO,” Buchi said during the call, reiterating that every Quidax staff uses the app and we share in the pain and frustrations experienced by our customers. If the platform isn’t working for you, it’s not working for us as well.
So, we cannot apologise enough for these challenges and assure you that the team is working 24/7 to stabilise things.
This pain is temporary 🥹
Another point Buchi hammered on during the community call is that this pain won’t last for long. According to him, “This new app is like giving birth to a new life.” Despite the beginning being rough, it is only a stumbling block, and we promise a lot of good things to come.
But, for now, we will keep working to stabilise the app, significantly improve the experience to show you some parts of the big picture, and ultimately give you a much better Quidax experience.

The first of August makes it exactly 7 years that we’ve been on this journey. Some Quidaxians since Day 1 and others have joined along the way. However long your Quidax journey is, we want to say thank you for sticking with us throughout the years.
And here’s a reminder that we never think of ourselves and think we have arrived. Everything we do is a continuous quest to deliver a significantly better and the world-class experience that you deserve.
Our goal is to get to a point where you feel proud whenever you use the Quidax app because it gives you everything you want. We will keep pursuing that goal. It’s still Day 1 ☀️!
Why did we create a new app in the first place?📱
During the various community calls and across our social media platforms, we’ve seen many Quidaxians asking why we created a new app when the previous one was working perfectly fine and there were hardly any complaints.
We understand your frustration, but to keep it simple, the new app was created to give you more, as the old app was limited in many ways. For example, many customers asked us to introduce futures trading and that couldn’t happen on the old app. There were also some feature requests like Earn, which we have introduced. But the good part is that there are many more new features to come.
Our goal is to ensure that you have the experience that you deserve, and the new app is the first step into the future of Quidax we want to build for you. We only ask that just give us a bit more time and we will be where we need to be sooner than later.
Why couldn’t I sign in to my account earlier?
On Monday, some customers had sign-in issues. We apologise that you couldn’t get into the app at some point. The team has now looked into this and it should no longer be a problem for any Quidaxian.
What’s the state of other previous issues?
As we promised, we’ve put in the work to ensure most of the earlier challenges you faced while using the new app and website. Here’s the current status of these issues:
- Captcha Issue: We removed Captcha verification across the website and the latest versions of our iOS and Android apps (If you’re still seeing Captcha prompts, please update your app.) Since the fix, we have received significantly less Captcha-related complaints.
- USDT/NGN Rates: We are finalising the fix for the real-time update issues affecting our USDT/NGN rates. We plan to roll out the update across all platforms by Friday, July 25, 2025.
- Instant Swap: We deployed the fix for Instant Swap on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. It’s now fully active on all platforms, and we’ve seen a sharp drop in related complaints.
- Fiat Withdrawal: We’re completely revamping our fiat withdrawal system to put an end to the issues you are facing. We’ll launch the upgrade this weekend through Monday on the web, and between Monday and Tuesday for iOS and Android. In the meantime, we recommend using the website for withdrawals if experiencing issues.
- Wallet Updates: We’ve released new wallet updates for both Android and iOS. The wallet page now looks better and displays your deposit and withdrawal history. We’ll continue working to perfect this by next week.
- Earn: We’ve updated our Earn list to include everyone who has already been migrated (except for a few with unique issues). We’ve also fixed the issue that caused some customers to see a blank Earn page. Plus, we’ll be turning interest auto-disbursement back on and will share more updates soon.
Whether we mentioned an issue peculiar to you or not, we assure you that no concern is neglected. We will give more reports and updates during our upcoming community call on Tuesday next week. Trust that these calls and your complaints put us on our toes to do better.
