What’s Changing?
With this update, both Ghanaians and non-Ghanaians can now access Cedis.
Ghanaians
- GHS Wallets, Swaps and Trades
For existing Quidaxians in Ghana, GHS Wallets are already available to you.
But now you can swap any crypto to Cedis using the Instant Swap or trade the USDT/GHS market pair using the Orderbook. - Deposit and Withdraw Cedis
Cedis deposits and withdrawals are available to you. You can deposit and withdraw Cedis using your mobile wallet. However, deposits and withdrawals can only be done to your own wallets, not to your friends or anyone else.
Non-Ghanaians
- Wallets
GHS wallets are now available in your account. You don’t need to be in Ghana or be a Ghanaian to access the wallet. Neither do you need to apply or request to get access. Just update your mobile app or sign into your account via your desktop & mobile browser. - Swapping and Trading
You can now swap any crypto for Cedis using Instant Swap. For Nigerians, you can swap Naira to Cedis. On the Orderbook you can trade the USDT/GHS market pair.
- Withdraw Cedis
With this update, you can now withdraw Cedis to your mobile wallet in Ghana, if you have one. However, the wallet has to be in your name, you can’t withdraw it to a friend’s wallet or any other 3rd party.
Also, you won’t be able to deposit Cedis.
Multiple Partners
The biggest update across all customers is that we now have multiple partners to ensure that deposits and withdrawals will be successful. So, if one partner is undergoing maintenance there are other partners that we can use to ensure your transaction goes through.
How to Deposit or Withdraw Cedis on Quidax
Whether you are on the homepage or in your wallet overview, the steps are simple:
- Go to Wallets and select GHS
- Tap on Deposit or Withdraw.
- Select a service Provider
- Enter the amount to deposit or withdraw and you’re good to go!

No! GHS wallets are now accessible to all Quidax customers, regardless of your physical location. - Can I deposit Cedis if I am not a Ghanaian resident?
Deposits of Ghanaian Cedis are only available to our Ghanaian customers. Non-Ghanaians can swap or trade other cryptocurrencies for Cedis. - Can I withdraw Cedis to my friend’s mobile money wallet?
No, you can only withdraw to a mobile wallet that is registered in your own name. Third-party withdrawals are not allowed. - What trading pairs are available for GHS?
You can trade the USDT/GHS pair on the Orderbook, or use the Instant Swap feature to exchange any cryptocurrency for Cedis.
